Offering therapy services for adolescents and adults in and around Marlow, England

Somatic Works is working with soma, the body. It is about developing an awareness of bodily sensation through breathing techniques, somatic movements and healing touch.

The body remembers the memory of pain and trauma, and it holds these memories as tension and discomfort in the muscular structure of the body. These suppressed or repressed memories resurface through an external stimulus that triggers the forgotten contents. It is materialised as shallow breathing, shortness of breath, racing, rapid heartbeat, or panic and fear.

My approach and techniques as a Somatic therapist include making use of Meditation, Mindfulness Breathing, EFT and the Body, Feelings and Mind alignments, along with Reiki. I work with you to identify the present awareness of the somatic tension, gestures and sensations in the body through mindful dialogues, movement and/or touch to eliminate outdated core body memories, pain and trauma.

The session consists of an assessment of your physical symptoms, which includes analysing your body posture and lifestyle. The treatment utilises Kinesiology, Meridian Therapy, Subtle Body Anatomy, Energy Cleansing and Magcreator Magnetic Massage.
